The Subway® Group, franchisor of the #1 restaurant chain in the U.S. and Canada, has more than 31,000+ restaurants worldwide – and still counting! We are looking for a “Database Administrator” to join our World Headquarters team in Milford, CT.

 

The Transactional Database Adminsistrator position acts as Database Administrator for all relational database management systems and software applications.  Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

·         Plan, design, analyze, and maintain all relational database management systems and software applications.

·         Synchronizes a multitude of databases in multiple environments such as Great Plains, Cookie, Bagel, Web, and .Net (PC Production Database), maintaining interoperability and business data flow for all applications and database software.

·         Authorizes and controls the release of all new aplication software into the production environment, acting as resource for Quality Control as well as Final Testing.

·         Ensures the integrity of backup and recovery procedures for all production data and database software through thorough testing.

  • Provides after hours support when required to resolve production problems and acts as the point of contact for all database related technical support vendors.
  • Designs and evaluates compliance guidelines for application programs from the database performance aspects to ensure only productive, efficient applications are deployed.

 

Position requirements include; a Bachelor's degree from four year college or university, or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have an in depth knowledge of computer operating systems, networks, and relational database technology as well as strong knowledge of interoperability between multiple hardware and software environments.
